Buddha Baby
We arrived safely in Bodhgaya at 5am this morning. Our train from Varanasi was 4 hours late, so we didn't have to pay for a guest house last night! This dusty village is crawling with monks and around every corner there is a unique and immaculate Buddhist temple and some Tibetan refugees selling colourful goods on the road.
We plan to spend 2 nights here before heading to Kolkata. We are very excited to be finishing our trip soon and returning home to you!

YEAH!!! come back to us!!!
and we are excited to have you returning to us TOO!
From stories in my childhood Kolkata has always had an aura of being a place of mystery, intrigue and danger. I suppose this dates back to ancient stories of "The Black Hole of Calcutta" which caused the British so much worry and anguish. There was a Fort William there just as there was also a Fort William in Canada at the head of Lake Superior. Canada's version is now Thunder Bay. It is probably really stretching things, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was some connection between Kolkata and Thunder Bay. Thankfully Fort William seems to have disappeared from both places.
I look forward to seeing your smiling faces soon... and hearing all your great stories.
Love, Dad
